I have heard of a number of 'larger' estate agents who are so cr*p at getting decent fees, they will do it at 0.5% inc VAT (lose making),

Just to take £800/£900 out of a £1350 conveyancing quote

Many £££ on the mortgage deal

and dont get me started on charging nearly £100 per person for AML checks

PS I am not against commission, it just has to fair
