Honestly, I do feel sorry for some of you estate agents .. especially those of you who work for independent chains and corporates, because there you are, busting a gut, trying to get more people to use your agency be it home owners for free valuations or landlords with rental properties ….  You look to your bosses for help and inspiration, and if I am being honest, most are there for, cracking the whip, inspiring you, leading you to greater glory … they tell you of the new marketing campaign that is coming down from head office that will get you your listings and new property targets this Quarter … so next day, the courier arrives with big brown box (Amazon styleee ) and huge 3ft long tube cardboard tube (that’s 1 metre to all you millennials) with the posters nicely rolled up inside. My biggest fears I have in Lettings

Estate agents .. Prospective Vendors and Prospective House sellers are concealing themselves… gone into deep undercover Fellow letting agents … your prospective landlords are concealing themselves as well. Nobody put themselves on the mailings lists anymore… nobody signs up or gives their email address for anything nowadays Everyone comes to your website, but doesn’t fill in the contact us box. You, my estate agency or letting agency friend are concealing yourself. In fact, all of us are. Concealing ourselves from responsibility and change. Concealing ourselves from the prospect of feeling foolish. ..looking like a tw*t  All of us (including myself) try to dodge and evade things that will change us. Agents who steal

The best thing you can steal from your competitor estate agents ... is their  intelligence ,  understanding ,  insight ,  perception ,  perceptiveness ,  percipience ,  penetration ,  perspicuity ,  acuity ,   common sense ,  shrewdness ,  astuteness ,  acumen ,  smartness ,    judgement ,  foresight ,    prudence ,  logic ,  rationale ,  rationality ,  soundness ,  .... in essence their  wisdom. It doesn't cost one penny to learn from history ..... and 99% of the time, its worth the time you put in to find it out. Stop making the same mistakes every agent does, starting thinking on your own head, find out what works ... don't fall into the trap of that's the way we have always done it ....
