Your founders Story of your Estate Agency

Estate Agents need to start telling their founders stories differently.  Sod people now pay attention to founder/brand stories of agents (in fact any firm) that don’t resonate with them.  People are now looking for more personal connections with brands, and that included estate agents And this is why content is essential.  To enable you to create more engaging and authentic connections with your agency’s target audiences (or house sellers)

If you want to be successful in 2020’s as an Estate or Letting Agent, you need to do this #1 thing

Everyone says Estate & Letting Agency is a people business. Yet, looking at most agent’s social media and marketing, nothing could be further from the truth It can not be argued that People connect with people, not with brands (unless you are Apple, Tesla, or Virgin ..and there is an argument that they are there in some (not all) ways because of their famous founders). That is why I a suggesting everyone reading this should invest in their personal brand (and I am not suggesting that should be at the expense of you investing in your company brand). The internet and social media intensifies and magnifies an outstanding personal brand many many times So, having no personal brand and no social media/internet presence puts you in oblivion much faster than before.  If you don’t jump on board with the ethos of a personal brand you will get left behind, because building a personal brand is the single most prevailing marketing strategy you can have for your agency The simple fact is the

That dreaded feeling

Estate & Letting Agents - You know that really awful feeling you get when you go to bed at 1045pm, just to realise you stripped the bed earlier in the morning and now have to put the duvet covers on before going to bed after a long $hitty day at work? So, agents come to me with that same feeling, as their hair turns grey because their social media and marketing to attract new vendors and landlords isn’t working and so sucking all the life out of them as they also try to run the day to day stuff in their offices I bring a injection of life back into their marketing by creating proven content that attracts landlords and vendors into their social media, tried and test techniques that cost nothing to put that content in front of those landlords &vendors including traditional email and even printed streams, so they can focus on running their estate & letting agencies instead of constantly stressing about attracting new listings.

Being an Estate Agency Infuncer

Being an influencer as an Estate Agent isn’t because you go from 1,000 connections to 10,000 on LinkedIn  Being an influencer in your local property market isn’t because you have x thousands of followers on TwikTwat or Instagram Or driving some fancy car Being an influencer is all about living an authentic real life whilst finding time to help other people achieve the same level of truth & authenticity. Real social media influencers are building legacies not bull$hit photo shoots and fancy cars with the need for connection requests.

Estate Agency - time for a different focus?

I believe it’s time for estate agency brands to shift their focus.  Instead of trying to connect with house sellers, they should aim at creating bonds with every homeowner instead.  Yet what’s the difference?  House sellers only purchase your estate agency services when they want to sell their house, yet go for trying to build a bond with every homeowner in your town, irrespective of whether they are selling or not And that will allow you and your Estate Agency brands to build natural communities and add value. Meaning down the line - you will be the ONLY agent called out on the free val 🤔

Building a Personal Brand in Estate Agency

How do you build a ‘personal brand’ in Estate Agency? Your 1st step has to be ‘defining who you are’, and then sticking to it, come what may. If nobody can describe you or if they don’t know what you stand for - you can’t have a personal brand It’s that which sets you apart from everyone else. You see, once you have chosen what you want people to identify you with, you must never ever change that … even if you are trolled. That’s why it’s so important to get it right from day one. PS of course the things that define you will slowly evolve and grow over time - yet the core values and principles you set out from will be your guiding North Star. The second step in building your personal brand has to be confidence. Confidence - not cocky Confidence is all about believing in yourself & your own abilities, yet it crosses the line into cockiness when you believe you are better than everybody else. Confidence will mean people start to admire you. Even if you are shy, you really need to m
