Some very successful self employed agents are starting to open a High Street office.

Yet they proved they didn’t need one to become successful enough to afford it in the first place.

So why now do some agnets believe its suddenly required?

Think long and hard before you make that choice.

Are you doing it because you need validation?

You escaped the hamster wheel. You built something lean, local, personal. Now you have signed a 10 year lease & hired a receptionist. Dont become what you left.

Please dont pretend a High Street makes you credible. You already are credible.

Vendors dont care if you’re above a chippy, on an industrial estate, or working from your kitchen table. They care if you know your stuff and get results.

Location is secondary. Reputation is everything.

A shop front means nothing if you lose the hunger behind it.

Visibility matters. But vanity costs.

And lets be honest.

Some of the reason for opening an office is ego. Nothing wrong with that... but don’t kid yourself.

For some, its that little voice whispering they need an office so they can look their competitors in the eye.

Truth is, youare already doing what they do without the weight of rent hanging over you.

Don’t open an office because your inner child wants to sit at the grownups’ table.

The established agents aren’t looking down on you. They are looking across, in quiet amazement.
