Marketing to get higher fees and more listings for Estate & Letting Agents

Marketing to get higher fees and more listings for Estate & Letting Agents.

Everything I have learned (so far)👇

  1. If you don’t know the difference between advertising and marketing - prepare for the constant slog with new clients.
  2. Assuming you know no. 1 then - when you market yourself and your agency correctly, it makes getting clients to use your agency and then getting higher fees from them so much easier.
  3. When the number of estate & letting agents outweighs the number of houses coming on the market, estate & letting agency is a tough gig. Yet when house sellers and landlords seek you out, the agency is like a weight being lifted and it becomes a pleasure. Yet here is the issue …
  4. You could be the best estate or letting agent in your town, yet the best agent doesn’t always get most listings, from the best vendors/landlords at the best fees. Perception is reality, so the perceived best agent often gets the best properties at the best fees. So …
  5. It’s awesome you are a good agent. Yet vendors/landlords need to know you are a good agent. How will they know that?
  6. Marketing
  7. Did you Google the difference between marketing and advertising?
  8. No - I didn’t think you did 😉
  9. In a nutshell- advertising is about trying to sell your agency whilst marketing is about building trust. If vendors & landlords trust you, they will use you. or If any of your posts talk about you, your agency, or your agency services - that’s advertising- not marketing. So how do you build trust with marketing? Easy…
  10. Well, firstly vendors & landlords need to be able to discover you. When they do, what you say needs to be authentic. And be relatable & helpful to the reader. And here is the big one- your marketing needs to helpful, educational, valuable, worth something, or entertaining TO THE READER.
