July Course in Getting more Landlords to use your Lettings Agency!

A course for letitng agents will be held on Thurs 9th July and Friday 10th July 2015 in Grantham at The Angel and Royal Hotel to help letting agents get more landlords
Its a two day course and on it we will teach you two things ..
  1. The 'Landlord Farming System' itself ... where to place the interesting articles you write about your local town, how to set up a blog, how to sort newsletters, how to use social media to get the attention, interest and trust of landlords, how to get hundred and thousands of email addresses of landlords / movers and shakers in your town
  2. How to write the articles themselves
Is the course any good?  No of course not ..... its bl**dy great!

(Grantham is 59 minutes from London Kings Cross train station (and 26 miles East of Nottingham)).

See what these agents said of the course and the system ..

I found Christopher's course to be fantastic and we are already seeing the positive results of his teachings. As with everything action is required, but by putting into place the information taught by Chris, you cant help but get more business. He is also a really nice bloke, which helps massively, highly recommended

Director Belvoir Lettings Bury & Buy to Let Specalist
We opened our cold start lettings agency in February 2013. From day one, The Watkin always offered his help and guidance on how to attract landlords to our agency. He was always coming up with new ideas and his creative thinking, expertise, positive can-do attitude and drive made him the go to man to increase our stock. I can particularly remember one occasion we had an issue with how to network at a particular event and he went above and beyond the call of duty in providing us with exceptional support and guidance. However, it’s his ideas, especially the advertorials and his insistence that you need to engage landlords with interesting stories about the local housing market, both in the newspaper and with social media that has got us so much new business. I can categorically say that without Chris’s help, we wouldn’t have got so many landlords and their properties on our books so early on, which meant we were able to let 105 properties in the first 9 months of trading. He is a truly amazing guy and we can not thank him enough for what he has done for us and we look forward to working with more throughout 2014.

Christopher is one of a rare breed of trainers. He makes his subject interesting by delivering great content that is both practical and will make money, in an entertaining way to make it memorable. Most importantly he really does over-deliver on his promises so there is no fluff, or smoke and mirrors whatsoever. He is also a thoroughly pleasant and decent chap to work with so I should have absolutely no hesitation in recommending his course and services to any lettings agent or landlord wanting more landlords to approach them for their services

I have been working with Chris for over a year now and am really pleased with the changes he has made to my business. His ideas are new and innovative and are proven to work. Nothing is too much trouble for him and he is always at the end of the phone. I look forward to working with Chris in 2015 and beyond.

I spoke with Christopher for the first time towards the end of last year, having started my own agency in June 2014. Having read his blogs and watched his videos I had a good feeling about attending the course, I thought "I think this guy actually knows what he's talking about!". And he does! I feel totally empowered as a property guru! The stories I am writing are interesting, factual and are strengthening my local knowledge with every one that I write. I know that this will help me to attract customers and to keep them, and I couldn't have done without Christophers guidance and enthusiasm. Oh, he also paid for my curry on the course, so he's a winner in my book

I attended the Landlord Farming Course and Chris taught us all how something so simple, and yet never thought of, could be so effective. Very insightful and definitely worth the time and money.

I spoke to Chris at the end of last year, having just set up my letting office in Leigh on sea, back in the summer of 2014, having worked for a number of big sales companies in Essex and London, I found out that most of the sales ideas that work brilliant gaining sales and vendors really do not work in the lettings world.  Chris is a straight talking and very knowledge in all aspects of lettings he explains things in simple terms, he is more than happy to help you out with the ideas he trains out, many of them are easy to do and just take time and effort from you to do, we are very excited to be working with Chris as we know he is proven in his field, and what he trains out works brilliantly, and this can only increase my lettings business in the coming months and years!

I have now been working with Christopher for 9 months and its been a real change to deal with someone who has a complete understanding of our industry at all levels and always explains his view in a straight forward manner. He writes my monthly News Letters in Leamington Spa which has an increasing circulation and importantly given rise to many New Landlord enquiries especially this year. Working with Chris over these last few months has really been a revelation. Not only does he have an unprecedented knowledge of his industry but Chris is also willing to share his knowledge and experience. If you get a chance to attend one of his training courses I would really recommend it.

I attended Christopher's course back in July this year and as we come in to December we have added 30 new properties to our portfolio. The techniques that I have learnt on Chris's course have produce real measurable results. I have now got landlords wanting to buy exclusively through our company in order to let. Christopher's articles are written with a real flare and passion and I am looking forward to working with him in 2015 (writen December 2014)

Chris delivered an enthusiastic, energy and ideas driven course which I thoroughly enjoyed. Showing his hands-on industry knowledge and experience, it was upbeat and insightful. As he reminds you throughout, this course offers plenty of 'bang for your buck'.... but only if you bother to make use of it afterwards.

Where do I start? Chris has a deep understanding of how a Landlords mind works. He has the ability to identify the needs of a Landlord and apply this to a letting agents marketing mix with great results! A very good trainer, who uses humour and his years of experience to make the process interesting and memorable! Highly recommended!

If you need video feedback from January's course  attendees ...

If you are asking if the course is worth it, dont take my word for it .. why dont you ring any of the people on this video, why not ring Craig Scott (who runs Redstones Newcastle), Jenny Fenton who runs Othala Lettings in Oxfordshire, Sunny Kang who runs Ashton Reeves in Bexley, Daniel Sperber who runs IQ Property in Moseley (Birmingham) and Rob Butterworth who runs Castle Estates in Leigh on Sea (posh bit of Southend) .. they are fellow letting agents, they paid the money .. Google them and then ring them and ask them if they thought it was worth it. All of them are happy for you to call and ask them .... unless of course you trade in the same town as them ;-) .. then I am rubbish!

Here are even more Linkedin Recommendations of the system ..If you are on Linkedin, they can be seen here ...   http://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=102567620#endorsements or they can be seen here  http://goo.gl/QVfVyE

One tip to get better Conversion Rates

Some Estate agents boast about having really high conversion rates of 75% to 85%. These listers consider themselves the daddy listers, the big cheese valuers, the mutts-nutts of Valuers. Other Estate Agents have really low conversion rates of 20% to 25% of the free vals / mkt appraisals they go to. These listers/valuers wish their conversion rates were higher Recognise anyone that fall into those two groups? Which group of those would you rather

Are Countrywide becoming the Tesco's of UK Estate Agency?

10 years ago – Tesco’s could do no wrong, the darling of the stock market, huge profits, they were invincible ..  but now, still huge – Tesco’s are not the force they once were. Tesco’s Senior executives were pushed out of the business which also suffered a culture change which was "not for the better". .. and that made me think, the of the possible similarities between what happened at Tesco’s and what appears to be happening now at Countrywide
For years, anyone who had dealings with Countrywide would come away with respect for the apparent clinical efficiency of its business model. One company, many brands. The senior management team had so much depth of experience .. both a mile wide and a mile deep. Countrywide played hard but

Cheap Fees in Estate Agency

My good lady wife loves shopping online. In fact, Amazon, they rang her last week to check she was Ok as she hadn’t ordered anything for three days (only kidding .. they rang after two days)
She ordered some Gin glasses (not from Amazon) from the internet – you know the ones that look like a goldfish bowl on a stick. The glass seller put the box of six glasses (the box being quite flimsy in the first place) in another brown cardboard box. This brown cardboard box was a couple of inches bigger around the sides of glass box, but the same height as the
