Response:

Write £10,000 on a Post it note

Stick it in the middle of the table.

Say….

“That is the extra I can negotiate on your sale.”

Then write £1,500 on another note

“That is what you are saving by hiring a cheap estate agent.”

Pause.

“So the question is Mr Vendor, do you wanna to save £1,500? Or make £10,000?”
