My message to the the $hit self employed recruiters
You are not recruiting. You are begging.
“Join my team.”
“Look at my earnings.”
“Here’s my commission this month.”
"I am an ICON"
"I have capped"
"Give me a call if you are interested in changing your life"
Yawn.
You are treating recruitment like a car boot sale or a barrow boy market stall holder.
The truth?
Agents aren’t stupid.
You are pushing them too hard and repelling them without realising it.
Look at what a lot of you did when Panorama came out, you were selling the dream on the back of the TV programme - shame on you.
It feels desperate & dirty
It isnt building trust
They can smell commission breath before you even finish your Canva post.
Want to attract Estate Agency winners to your downline?
Act like one.
Build value.
Build trust.
Build curiosity
Solve the frustrations they currently have now, NOT the 'dream' you are selling
Then, maybe they will ask what you do.
Until then, stop pitching.
You are not the prize if you have to chase.
Christopher
PS Thank god not all self employed agents are like what say. There are some agents who are thought leaders, create curiosity & play the long game and follow what I say. If you are a recruiting self employed estate agent, you wont go far wrong looking at the likes of Ben Moore (The one with the Beard), Adam Mackay, Clare Hughes, Jonathan Woods Real Estate eXp & James Hughes Real Estate eXp to name a few. These guys and gals get ‘it’.
Follow them and let them inspire you.
PPS I am a massive fan of the self-employed model, and I also think recruitment is a vital way to grow model and help you with your income line. It just shocks me that I believe the vast majority of those SE Agents recruiting are absolutely atrocious at it. If anyone is reading this, and want some help and guidance on this, I will be more than happy to offer my time free of charge. I mean it, I really do mean it and I'll be more than happy to book in a call with you when I'm on my dog walk at 7:30 on a weekday morning and we can chew the fat and go through what you need to do. No catch, I won't want to take any percentage of your downline income. I just want to help and you help me when I'm on my walk. Most of you won't know ....so you carry on ruining it for yourself and everyone else.
