Somewhere along the way, Estate Agency has lost its way ...

Estate Agency stopped being about helping people move...

...and started being about helping estate agents.

1️⃣ Taking £800 to £1,000+ out of the solictor costs for a conveyancing referral.

2️⃣ Blocking offers unless buyers see the in-branch mortgage adviser.

3️⃣ Overvaluing to win instructions.

4️⃣ Comparing ourselves to other agents with pie charts and graphs.

5️⃣ And still only sell 53% of the homes we list.

It’s become a numbers game.
Not a people business.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵:

We’re not here to look good on a leaderboard.

We’re here to get people moved.

That’s what the public care about.

Not how many listings we’ve got or a pie chart.

Not whether we’ve “beaten” the competition.

Just whether we did our job, and did it properly.

Maybe it’s time we started acting like it???

Your thoughts?

Christopher

PS I am pleased to many the silent majority dont act like this, the issue, we are all fragmented and in our little bubbles
