Which social media platform is best for Estate Agency

Social media has become a must for estate agents that want to grow their businesses.

It allows us to find our ideal house sellers by attracting them rather than chasing them, continuing to deepen and broaden existing relationships and making new relationships.

This leaves many wondering what they can do to build an engaged following that consistently churns out listing opportunities.

Many agents are like a jack of all trades and the master of none.

When it comes to social, one of the most common mistakes many estate agents make is trying to build a social media presence on every platform.

The lack of focus on one social media platform rarely leads to building an engaged audience on any social media platform

The most successful agents focus on and master one social media platform at a time.

They construct and build an engaged audience of local homeowners with a consistent systematic and sustainable flow of content on one platform, then move to the next platform.

They layer in their successes on each social media platform rather than trying to do them all from the start.

Every social media platform offers opportunities, so which one should you focus on first?

The answer to this question isn’t about you as an agent; it’s about your ideal client.

So who is your ideal client?

How old are they?

What is their demographic?

Which social media platform do they use?

If your ideal client is tenants or first-time buyers (because you have lots of properties to rent out or lots of lower-end properties that are not selling), then your target is younger, then TikTok might make sense.

If your focus is on a more mature audience (Middle-aged homeowners), then Instagram or Facebook might make more sense.

If you’re working on Buy-to-let or luxury properties, then LinkedIn should be a consideration.

Work out which social media platform your ideal client is on, and focus on growing that platform 1st.

By targeting your attention on one main social media platform, mastery will come sooner (And so will more business flow to your agency)
