The State of U.K. Estate Agency

‘Chris, your posts about the state of Estate Agency culture really reverberate with me. I've been a lister for about 5 years and in spite of always being a top performer regarding fees, banked exchange income and market share growth in my company of 80+ branches, others get the accolades of mentions in the company internal e-zine  or the drunken weeks away in Vegas or the South of France. The ones that do are because they shout from the rooftops when smash their target every once in a blue moon or always try to one up other listers’

I hear you bro

Especially in corporate land, estate agents are nearly always defined by your numbers.

You are just a quota, a cell on the MD’s spreadsheet

The indefinables & intangibles aren't measured on the spreadsheet

Your CRM dashboard doesn’t give you a % to target on teamwork.

There is no league table based on integrity.

You are not alone for thinking that way of doing Estate Agency is wrong.

And you definitely aren’t mad for wanting to see things change.

You and I are the generation to change it. It won’t be overnight, yet eventually, we will succeed.
